Wisdom Tooth Removal 

Wisdom tooth removal is a procedure to take out the third molars located at the very back of the mouth. These teeth often don’t have enough space to grow properly, which can cause pain, swelling, or infection.

What the procedure involves

1. Local anesthesia is given to numb the area.
2. The dentist or oral surgeon opens the gum and may remove a small amount of bone.
3. The tooth is taken out — sometimes in smaller pieces.
4. The area is cleaned and stitched if needed.

Aftercare
Mild pain, swelling, or limited mouth opening for a few days is normal. Cold compresses, medications, and soft food are recommended until healing improves.
